The National Committee for Bicentennial Celebration of the Founding of Casa Ricordi 1808-2008 continues its musical production and recording of important events. Casa Ricordi, the historical editor of Puccini, is the producer of this important concert that will be held on June 17, 2007, at La Scala Theater, adding another recording to the two previous records, making for an even more valuable collection.
On Sunday, June 17, 2007, Maestro Riccardo Chailly will
direct the La Scala
Philharmonic and
Philharmonic Choir for the III concert
of the National Committee of Puccini Celebrations. “Concerto 2007, Giacomo
Puccini, III atto. Percorsi della maturità”(“Concert 2007, Giacomo Puccini, III
act. The pathways of maturity”) represents the renewed commitment given by the
National Committee of Puccini Celebrations in the project.
The collaboration between Casa Ricordi and the National Committee
for Puccini Celebrations has been renewed again this year with great honor,
even through a special thanks to Tino
Cennamo, President of Casa Ricordi, “not only for the support given to the
Committee, but also for sharing the projects with the objective of reaching the
same goals.
In fact, in 2008, in
addition to one-hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the birth of Puccini, the
bicentennial of the founding of Casa Ricordi, that is responsible for the
recording of act III and will produce the entire concert “tetralogy” collection.
