Teneke, the new work of composer Fabio Vacchi, premiered on September 22, 2007 at the Scala Theater in Milan. The staging by Ermanno Olmi and the designing of the sets and costumes by Arnaldo Pomodoro further enhanced an amazing piece based on the novel by the Turkish writer Yashar Kemal and conducted by Roberto Abbado.

The General Direction for Libraries and Cultural Institutes in cooperation with the National Committee for Puccini celebrations and the National Committee for the bicentennial of Casa Ricordi, with the aim to enhance and distribute online the figure and works of Giacomo Puccini, presented for the occasion, “ vissi d’arte…” an exhibit which collected all the material digitalized up to date of the vast production of Giacomo Puccini. An unusual and innovative way to enhance and spread the figure and works of the Maestro from Lucca.
